Happy Birthday, Emily Anne

Stillborn--
Born, still in the arms of God.
Born, still in the knowledge
Of His grace, and of His love.
Born, still to us
But alive to God!

  1. You are always in my thoughts because of this. Emily's service was beautiful. I think I can say this with surety - I know how you feel on this day. You and I share a unique bond. Thank you for helping me in my time of need - you will never know how much I appreciated it.

  2. Jeremy and Christianne:

Thank you for sharing this touching slideshow.

It is raw and beautiful and intimate and lets us know your family more deeply.

The poem is lovely...I had never seen it before. Such a fitting sentiment.

  5. Viewing these pictures brings back so many memories...it almost seems like just yesterday that we were standing with you. Just this week I had been thinking of all of the people who loved you through this experience and how overwhelmed I felt standing back and watching such an outpouring of love for your family.

So many people were touched through this sweet service. I remember every picture...all of the emotions...the heartache...and finally, the peace of knowing that she is yours...forever. We love and miss you! Thank you for sharing.

    Love,
    Jen

Thank you so much for sharing both the slides and your inner thoughts - for recognizing the Father acting in people in the midst of your loss... Blessings on you and your house.

  8. Jeremy and Christianne...
I am a stranger to you, but the Lord somehow led me to your blog today. I do not believe that was a coincidence. Just today my 26 year old daughter, who now has two daughters, 25 months and 3 months, said to me, "Mom, I just don't know how you could ever breathe again if you lost a child...and I pray I never have to find out." It nearly broke my heart. Reading your blog touched me to the core. Thank you for sharing. You obviously have much love surrounding your family, which is blessing beyond measure. May His peace, that passes all understanding, be with you throughout your lives. Blessings.
