Doctor appointments scheduled for March:

Kindergarten physical: Xander

That’s a total of 21 doctor appointments, not counting the H1N1 shots (we’ll just walk in and do those all together). Seven of these will take place in the hospital. There is also a 99.9% chance that we’ll find ourselves in the office for something that will come up between now and the end of the month.

Health insurance, WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!

Oh, and if you haven’t read the previous two posts by Jeremy, do so. I laughed out loud.

PS: An update on Graci: We finally heard from Graci's cardiologist. She will be starting oxygen tomorrow. She will likely continue nighttime oxygen for the rest of her life. He also said it wouldn't be a bad idea to get her to use it during the day when we can. The surgery confirmed pulmonary hypertension and showed that oxygen somewhat lowered the pressure on her heart. It also showed that there was no "easy fix" as far as surgery goes. She'll be returning for a exercise/stress test to see if we need to be more aggressive than oxygen for now. At this point, we're still unsure about what her prognosis is as far as life expectancy, etc. Basically, we didn't hear anything we weren't already aware of. Thank-you for your continued prayers for her!!!!!!

  1. Wow. Sounds like our doctor appointment schedule the last 2 months! I swear we LIVE at the hospital. Thank goodness Primary Childrens has finally let us come to the hospital up here for some things. Driving to Salt Lake from Logan every week gets really stressfull. Good luck! I've finally made a "doctor's kit" that supplies the kiddos with enough distractions and snacks to get through the visits in one piece. -Life saver ;) Hope it all goes smoothly for you!

  2. Wow! Let me think of our dr. appts in the past 8 months.
Dentist: Leslie, jeremy, Treyden, Colten, & Linc (all just for checkups/cleanings)
Hospital ER: Leslie--quick 3 hr trip
Dr's office check ups: Colt & Linc
Dr's office sick visits: Trey, Colt, & Linc. Just once. For pink eye/ear infections.
Pretty mild for 6 months!!! haha. I can't imagine the time you spend at the doctors with 6 kids! I think the idea in the above post of a doctor's kit is a great idea!

  3. The last entry I read was Jeremy's reminder to send postcards...goodness! I've missed a lot. I hope Graci is doing well. She is one strong little girl! We miss you guys!!!

  4. Not to mention the assorted bugs you will pick up while you are being treated in the various offices / clinics / hospitals! Chase was feeling fine until we took him to the international clinic for a check up - he's sick as a dog now! (sigh)

Hang in there guys - we'll keep ya'll in our prayers - ya'll are already in our hearts!
