Here Comes Trouble!

Due to the incredible demands on Christi's time right now, we've hired a recent high-school graduate to come help Christi for a few hours on weekday mornings. She is coming to help tomorrow, and since the kids are out of school, they will meet her for the first time. Tonight, Christi told Taylor, Parker and Graci that she would be coming. After they heard about it, the following conversation ensued:

Parker: How old is she?
Christi: She's about 18.
Taylor: She's WAY to old for you, Parker!
Graci: It's great to have a maid.
Me: Let's not call her a maid.
Taylor: What should we call her?
Parker: (Without missing a beat and with a big, goofy grin on his face) Can I call her my date?

That kid is funny, and was mostly joking, but you can bet I'll be keeping my eye on him over the next several years!!!

  1. LOL. Reminds me of the Titans game and the cheerleaders you took the boys to many years ago... Ü

  2. Dude - hummm - well....'nuf said eh? :) Seems to me (all be it he was a tad older) that his father set his sites on someone I recall him saying was the "most beautiful woman on campus" and ended up married to her.....not that I'd say anything about apples falling far from the tree or anything!

In fact - I know the boy to be a class guy and perfect gentleman - much like his father....but still - keep an eye on the lad!! ;)

hugs all - aus and co.

  3. I am so happy you got some help! Now you can focus even more on the kiddos and less on the kiddos' messes. Parker is a charmer...like his Daddy!

  4. I am soooooo glad you can do this!!!!!!!!!!! You have to look at this as an absolute necessity!!! Sounds like Taylor has Parker pegged.

  5. We hired a girl to help out when I was sick and it was the best thing for us. I was able to spend my time and energy with my family. Love every minute of it. You're amazing and totally deserve some help. I would jump at the chance to help you out if I lived closer. We love seeing the updates on your fun family.
